Sand Sculpture Festival

While I'm spending some time with my family in Belgium, we went to Blankenberge for the Sand Sculpture Festival.

It was built with 10.000 tons of sand by an international team of 38 professional artists, drawn from countries as diverse as Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Siberia and Australia.

The Sand Sculpture Festival is officially the largest festival of its kind in the world (Guinness Book of Records 2010).

It was a nice walk through the magical world of fantasy and fairy tales.
